Librarian Hits the Roads

Circulation Coordinator Monica Lopez ran her first 10k road race this weekend! Monica believes in exercising her body as well as her mind and has recently taken up running after realizing kick-boxing was just too dangerous! Not one to do things on a small scale, Monica and her husband Martin decided to train for the Surf City Marathon which will be held in Huntington Beach on February 1, 2009. As you can see in this photo taken just moments after they crossed the finish line, both Monica and Martin finished the "Make Room for Santa 10k" looking strong and happy!
